Rolling version can be considered a sort of constantly evolving beta version.
Bonemat is developed using an Agile software development process.
Agile development refers to a group of software development methodologies based on iterative process, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing cross-functional teams.
Agile processes fundamentally incorporate iteration and the continuous feedback that provides successively refining and delivering a software system. This software development life cycle provides the continuous release of new versions. To accomplish this result a Continuous Integration (CI) System is used. In a CI practice, all developers should merge all working copies within a shared mainline, several times a day. Rolling version in not properly what is usually called “beta version”: actually, it is the artefact obtained by our CI Servers. Rolling version contains all last upgrades, bug fixes, etc. but can also contains untested code and fresh errors that will be resolved in future iterations.
