We hope Bonemat will be useful to you. But we do know there is large room for improving it. Some relevant issues that are not currently implemented are, to cite just two: bone anisotropy (either tissue-based or structure-based), CT artefacts affecting bone representation.

We have several ideas on how to enhance the software, and many others may come from users. You might just list them as enhancement requests, or consider the possibility to jointly develop Bonemat with us.

Please consider however that our main focus is muscoloskeletal biomechanics research. We want to keep the focus of the development on tools that are practically useful/enabling in biomechanical studies, and can bring an advancement in the field.
